Aucklands water front
Blocked up window in wing of former town gaol,
Haverfordwest Castle, Pembrokeshire, Wales
There were proposals to transform the Victorian building, lately housing the county archives, into — horror of horrors — a eight to 16-bedroom boutique hotel, but those have faded away. Village green status for the grounds might ensure future public access, but for now the site has an abandoned and derelict air.
A big hello to everyone who contributes to this blog, and makes it an interesting place to hang out. Thanks for joining and sharing some great window shots.
We are starting to run out of server space which over the next couple of months could see posts with images no longer publishable. I have noticed that there are loads of images being uploaded to the server space for displaying on the blog, which I guess is what it is for, but could I please request if possible that you use sites like Flickr to host the images and hotlink from there to the blog? Flickr is free and easy to use, and all you have to do is copy and paste the html tag from your image into the body of a post and bingo it will appear, but without using up any of the remaining server space.
